A Place Where You Don’t Have to Mask.

We believe autistic children flourish when they are safe, respected, and having fun. Welcome to an academy that celebrates your child’s unique wingspan.

Neurodiversity Affirming

Happy Flapping is Welcome Here.

Autism isn’t a tragedy. It’s a different way of being human. We don’t train your child to look "normal." We give them the tools to advocate for themselves and navigate the world on their own terms.

Ethical Standards

Safety & Respect First

We draw a hard line against outdated practices. You will never find these things at Busy Beez.

No seclusion or isolation rooms

We never use "seclusion rooms" or lock children away. If a child is overwhelmed, we co-regulate with them in a safe, open space.

No forced eye contact or compliance

Listening doesn't always look like looking. We respect that for many autistic kids, eye contact can be painful or distracting.

No "Quiet Hands"

Stimming (flapping, rocking, vocalizing) is a natural way to regulate emotion. We never stop a child from happy or soothing stims.

No Withholding Comfort

We do not ignore crying or "wait it out." If a child is distressed, we offer comfort, hugs, and support immediately.

Your child's voice matters

We ask before we act. We notice when something feels wrong and we change course. Comfort and consent are not negotiable.

Trauma-Informed Care

Trust Before Tasks.

Many autistic children have had negative experiences in therapy. We assume every child needs to feel safe before they can learn, so we prioritize trust over compliance.

Safety Over Compliance

We prioritize your child's feeling of safety over their obedience. We accept "No" as a valid answer and teach negotiation skills.

Assent-Based Care

Consent isn't just for adults. We actively look for signs of happiness (assent) and stop immediately if we see signs of distress (withdrawal).

Specialized Staff Training

Every member of our team is trained to recognize signs of sensory overwhelm and trauma triggers, responding with patience, not punishment.

01
Play leads
Practice

Skills emerge through play, not drills.

We meet your child in their world. If they love building, we build together and practice communication naturally. Learning happens when it feels like fun, not work.

02
Family included
Partnership

You’re on the Team, Not in the Car.

We don't gatekeep therapy. You are welcome in The Garden. We focus on goals that matter to *your* family life—like sleep, eating, or going to the park.

03
Goals flex
Growth

The Plan Fits
the Child.

If a child isn't making progress, we don't blame the child. We change our teaching method. We constantly adapt our goals based on what your child enjoys and needs.

Our Facilities

Sensory Magic, Not Fluorescent Static.

A playful, calming environment designed for learning,
regulation, and confidence.

The Environment

A Soothing Garden Built for Regulation

We swapped buzzing fluorescent lights for warm lamps and clinical white walls for calming colors. Every room is designed to reduce sensory load so your child’s nervous system can finally rest.
